TITLE

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING TO AWARD AND ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH DIRT DAWG EXCAVATING LLC FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR HAVENS CORNERS WATERLINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

BODY

 

WHEREAS, the Havens Corners Waterline Replacement Project consists of replacing approximately 3,300 feet of existing 12-inch water main located in the Havens Corners Road right-of-way between Oak Creek Place and Helmbright Road with new 12-inch pipe; and

 

WHEREAS, on March 9, 2023, bids were opened and reviewed; and

 

WHEREAS, the lowest bidder, Dirt Dawg Excavating LLC, had a complete and responsive bid; and

 

WHEREAS, the Administration recommends awarding Dirt Dawg Excavating the construction contract for this project, with a bid price of $1,163,481.75.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That the Mayor and Director of Engineering are authorized to award and enter into contract with DIRT DAWG EXCAVATING LLC, primary offices located at 1681 ORANGE ROAD, ASHLAND, OH 44805-1300, for the Havens Corners Waterline Replacement (ST-1072), attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.

 

Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by Council and on date of signature of approval by the Mayor.
