TO HONOR AND COMMEND THE 2003 COLUMBUS ACADEMY VIKING FOOTBALL TEAM

WHEREAS, the 2003 Columbus Academy Vikings Football Team had a record of 13 wins and only 2 losses; and
WHEREAS, their exceptional season culminated in the Division V State Championship; and
WHEREAS, this is the second time that the Columbus Academy Vikings Football team has won a State Championship; and
WHEREAS, the community wishes to thank all of the team members as well as Coach Jim Collis, for their outstanding year and representing the Gahanna area in a truly stellar manner; and
WHEREAS, the members of the 2003 Columbus Academy football team have earned the respect of the citizens of the City of Gahanna and surrounding areas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the 2003 Columbus Academy Football team is hereby honored and commended for their excellent football season and winning the Division V State Championship.
Section 2. That this Council and Administration hereby thank all of the team members and coaches of the 2003 team for their hard work and dedication.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
