WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has recommended that we have our communication and utility bills audited to see if there are overcharges on our bills; and

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this ordinance in a timely manner, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with AUDIT MY BILLS, 950 Michigan Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43215, to audit our communication and utility bills as defined in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

Section 2.  That second reading is hereby waived.

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
