WHEREAS, along with the Hamilton Road wireless project a companion ordinance is needed for spare equipment for the Street Department inventory; and
WHEREAS, said equipment will be utilized when malfunctions occur and the originals are sent in for repair; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended we enter into contract with Path Master, Inc., for said equipment; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this ordinance, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with PATH MASTER, INC., 1960 Midway Drive, Twinsburg, Ohio 44087, for spare equipment for the Street Department inventory, in accordance with City specifications; contract attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FOURTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY FIVE DOLLARS ($14,745) was set aside in the 2006 Appropriations to Account No. 222.331.5541, State Highway Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
