TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH OHIO POWER CO., A DIVISION OF AMERICAN ELECTRIC POWER FOR A CONTRIBUTION IN AID OF CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION SERVICE

WHEREAS, the traffic signal at Techcenter Drive and Buckles Court is currently under construction; and
WHEREAS, an agreement with Ohio Power Co., a division of AEP, is needed to complete the installation of a transformer that will provide electric service to power the traffic signal;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Transformer Agreement with Ohio Power Company, a division of American Electric Power, 850 Techcenter Drive, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, in order to provide electric service to power the Techcenter Drive and Buckles Court traffic signal; said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of THREE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED NINETY SIX DOLLARS ($3,396) was set aside in a prior year to Account No. 101.145.5596, Engineering, Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after of signature approval by the Mayor.
