TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH DELL COMPUTER CORPORATION TO PURCHASE COMPUTERS FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF DEVELOPMENT.

WHEREAS, the Director of Network Operations has recommended computer upgrades for the Department of Development which will handle the increase workload in a timely and efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, proposal was received September 22, 1998 and is recommended by the Director of operations; and
WHEREAS, funding is available from the 1998 Appropriations and is it desirable to proceed immediately with this new upgrade computer equipment at the earliest possible date due to the many development projects pending over the next six months;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO;
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with Dell Computer Corporation for the purchase of two desktop computers and one lap top computer for the Department of Development in accordance with proposal dated September 22, 1998, attached, and in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding for this $6,579 purchase is authorized as follows from the 1998 Appropriations: The amount of Three Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars ($3,579) from Account No. 101.343.5511, Development, Capital Projects, and Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000) from Account No. 101.341.5511, Zoning, Capital Projects.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
