TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STILSON CONSULTING GROUP FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE LANSDOWNE AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, IMPROVEMENT NO. 760; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, bids were opened for the Lansdowne Avenue Reconstruction Project, Improvement No. 760, pursuant to Council authorization, and Council is proceeding with the awarding of the contract; and
WHEREAS, inspection services are needed in conjunction with the awarding of the contract; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this project all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby aurthized to enter into contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43225, for inspection services for the Lansdowne Avenue Reconstruction Project, Improvement No. 760, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($24,000) was appropriated in the 2001 Appropriations to Account No. 101.145.5541, Capital Projects, Streets, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
