WHEREAS, JERRY H. GEROUX, was appointed to City Council on September 3, 1974 and ended his term on December 31, 1975 and achieved perfect attendance for that period; and
WHEREAS, JERRY H. GEROUX, was the Council representative to Planning Commission in 1975; and
WHEREAS, JANE L. "BUNNIE" GEROUX, served on City Council in 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1973, having served as President in 1972; and
WHEREAS, JANE L. "BUNNIE" GEROUX, served on Planning Commission from 1983 through 1991, having served as Chairman in 1986, 1988, 1989, and 1991, and
WHEREAS, JANE L. "BUNNIE" GEROUX served as Chairman of the 1976 Bicentennial Celebration held in Gahanna as well as the Centennial Celebration of the City of Gahanna; and
WHEREAS, JANE L. "BUNNIE" and JERRY H. GEROUX, worked tirelessly to obtain the designation of "HERB CAPITAL OF OHIO" for Gahanna and coordinated the care of our Herb Garden from its inception to current day; and
WHEREAS, JANE L. "BUNNIE" and JERRY H. GEROUX, also worked to establish the Herb Days Festival, the Gahanna Discovery Polo Classic, and many other events; and
WHEREAS, JERRY H. GEROUX, is greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of working with him; and
WHEREAS, JANE L. "BUNNIE" GEROUX, is honored for her dedication and commitment to Gahanna; always thinking of the City first:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration do hereby honor and commend JERRY H. and JANE L. "BUNNIE" GEROUX for exemplary work for the City of Gahanna.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
