TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH JOHN'S PAINTING, FOR INTERIOR PAINTING OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND THE SENIOR CENTER; TO TRANSFER FUNDS FROM BUILDING MAINTENANCE TO LANDS & BUILDING CAPITAL

WHEREAS, bids were opened June 8, 2001, and the lowest, most responsive, and responsible, bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with JOHN'S PAINTING, 456 DEVITT AVENUE, CAMPBELL, OHIO 44405, for the interior painting of the Police Department and Senior Center, said services to be in accordance with bid tabulation, dated June 8, 2001, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with bid and City specifications.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY FOUR DOLLARS ($584) is hereby transferred from Account No. 101.141.5310, Building Maintenance, to Account No. 101.414.5511, Lands & Buildings Capital Projects, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That funding in the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000) has been set aside to Account No. 101.141.5511, Lands & Buildings Capital Projects, in the 2001 Appropriations to cover the herein costs. 

 

Section 4.  That Ordinance No. ORD-0001-2001 passed January 2, 2001, is hereby amended to reflect this transfer of funds.

 

Section 5.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
