WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, is a life long resident of Gahanna, and has a great love for the City as well as entertaining and amusing stories of the past; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, served on the Board of Zoning & Building Appeals from 1989 to 1991; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, was then appointed to Planning Commission in 1992 where he served for 10 years; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, was first appointed as Ward 3 representative and then elected as Council Ward 3 representative in 2001 where he has served for two years; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, has consistently served the residents of the City well, always with a smile on his face and a good sense of humor; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, will continue to work for the good of the City in any way he can; and
WHEREAS, DAVID B. THOM, will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure to work with him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration do hereby honor and commend DAVID B. THOM, for his years of service to the City with the Board of Zoning & Building Appeals, Planning Commission and City Council, and for giving of himself to make Gahanna a better place to live.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
