TO HONOR AND COMMEND ROBERT W. KELLEY FOR DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE PEOPLE OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, ROBERT W. KELLEY, has dedicated himself to the service of the citizens of Gahanna for almost 40 years; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT W. KELLEY, first served as an auxiliary Police Officer from 1963 until he was hired as a full time officer on June 1, 1965 and then served as a police officer until May of 1989, and retired as Chief of Police; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT W. KELLEY, continued his dedication to the service of the City by serving four years as a Council At Large member from 1996 thru 1999; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT W. KELLEY, served as President of Council in 1999; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT W. KELLEY, continued to serve the people of Gahanna being elected to serve as Council representative Ward 2 in 2001 and has served with integrity and honor; and
WHEREAS, ROBERT W. KELLEY, will be greatly missed by all who have had the pleasure to work with him;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and Administration do hereby honor and commend ROBERT W. KELLEY, for his years of service as Council Member, both At Large and Ward 2 representative, and for giving of himself to make Gahanna a better place to live.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
