TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH PINNACLE METAL PRODUCTS FOR THE 1999 WEST GAHANNA ENTRY FEATURE, IMPROVEMENT NO. 733; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, bids were opened June 25, 1999, and the most responsive, responsible, and best bidder has been recommended by the Director of Public Service; and
WHEREAS, this is an important entry feature for the western boundary of the City and to set a design for the newly-established Creekside Recreation area; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible due to the economic demands on this Olde Gahanna community--all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement with PINNACLE METAL PRODUCTS, 1701 Woodland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio, for the 1999 West Gahanna Gateway Entry Feature, Improvement No. 733, in accordance with Bid and City specifications.
Section 2. That funding was set aside in the 1999 Appropriations, and is hereby authorized to be spent from Account No. 101.343.5511, Capital Projects, Development, in the amount of One Hundred TwelveThousand Five Hundred Dollars ($112,500) to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on the date of approval by the Mayor.
