TO AMEND SECTION 929.02, PERMIT REQUIRED; MULTIPLE USE CONNECTIONS PROHIBITED, TO INCREASE WATER INSPECTION FEE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, it has been recommended by the Administration that the fees for water permit issuance and inspections; and
WHEREAS, this Council concurs; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest in the control of the proper inspection of water lines and funding therefor to proceed at the earliest possible date, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Section 929.02, Permit Required; Multiple Use Connections Prohibited, of the Codified Ordinances of Gahanna, is hereby amended to increase water inspection fees, said increase set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Section 929.02, Permit Required; Multiple Use Connections Prohibited, and any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
