Title

TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH NIDA LIGHTING FOR INSTALLATION, MAINTENANCE AND REMOVAL OF LIGHTING TREATMENTS AT CREEKSIDE; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $19,620 THEREFOR; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

 

Body

WHEREAS,  Council is desirous of providing holiday lighting at Creekside for the 1999 Gahanna Holiday Lights; and

 

WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Nida Lighting for the installation, maintenance and removal of all lighting treatments at Creekside; and

 

WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation is needed in order to move forward with this work for the 1999 Holiday Lights; and

 

WHEREAS, in order to complete the work in a timely fashion and in conjunction with the Holiday Lights Parade it is imperative to move forward as quickly as possible all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Nida Lighting for installation, maintenance and removal of lighting treatments at Creekside in accordance with proposal, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.

 

Section 2.  That NINETEEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TWENTY DOLLARS ($19,620) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unappropriated, unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.343.5511, Development, Capital Projects, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
