TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR WATER LINE IMPROVEMENTS, IMP. #845 AND SANITARY SEWER REHAB, IMP. #846 FOR MILL STREET; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, letter proposal for Mill Street Utility Improvements for water line and Sanitary Sewer has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date in order that this work can begin and be be completed in a timely fashion, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with STILSON CONSULTING GROUP, 7610 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235, for engineering services for the Mill Street Waterline Improvement, Imp. #845, and the Mill Street Sanitary Sewer Rehab, Imp. #846, in accordance with proposal letter, dated June 27, 2003, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That NINETEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($19,250) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the Water Fund to 651.350.5445, Water Engineering, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That NINETEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($19,250) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the Sewer Fund to Account No. 661.360.5445, Sewer Engineering, to cover the herein costs.
Section 4. That ORD-0001-2003, passed January 2, 2003, is hereby amended to reflect these supplemental appropriations.
