TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH FUN DAY EVENTS, LLC, FOR INFLATABLE GAMES, ACTIVITIES, FOOD AND LABOR FOR THE CITY'S FREEDOM FESTIVAL FOR 2009

WHEREAS, now is the appropriate time to secure activities, games and food for our 2009 Freedom Festival; and
WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Fun Day Events, LLC, and the Director of Parks & Recreation has recommended we proceed with this company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with FUN DAY EVENTS, LLC, 947 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for the games, activities, food and labor for the 2009 Freedom Festival, in accordance with City specifications; contract attached as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($4,125) was set aside in the 2008 Appropriations to Account No. 101.432.5415, Fourth of July, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of FOUR THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($4,125) will be set aside in the 2009 Appropriations to Account No. 101.432.5415, Fourth of July, to cover the balance of the herein costs.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
