TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH TERRA SURVEYING FOR SURVEYING SERVICES TO RESOLVE A PROPERTY LINE/ALLEY LOCATION ISSUE ON CLARK STREET AND OKLAHOMA AVENUE; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, it has been requested of the City Engineer that a survey be sought to resolve a property line/alley location issue and replace lost pins from construction; and
WHEREAS, letter proposal for surveying services, dated May 14, 2001, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to move forward with this project in a timely fashion due to the rebuild of Clark Street and Oklahoma Avenue, all for the preservation of the public, peace, health, safety and welfare:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with TERRA SURVEYING SERVICES CO., 238 Academy Woods Drive, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, for surveying services for Clark Street and Oklahoma Avenue, said services to be in accordance with proposal letter, dated May 14, 2001, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That the funding in the amount of TEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($10,500) was appropriated in the 2001 Appropriations and was reallocated to Account No. 101.145.5541,Engineering, Streets, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That for reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
