TO ACCEPT MONIES SEIZED IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,000 AWARDED TO THE GAHANNA POLICE PURSUANT TO COURT ORDER, CASE NO. 09CVH-2841; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $8,609 TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND.

WHEREAS, Case #09CVH-2841, involved the seizure of $34,000 on February 8, 2014, which was awarded to the City; and
WHEREAS, to comply with the various Court Orders to distribute part of the proceeds to the Prosecuting Attorney, Franklin County, Ohio, and Court costs to the Franklin County Common Pleas Clerk of Courts, a supplemental appropriation is needed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That we hereby accept funds in the amount of $34,000.
Section 2. That EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED NINE DOLLARS ($8,609) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to Account No. 225.211.5411, LETF, Police, Law Enforcement Expense.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2014, passed January 2, 2014, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
