TITLE
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE MID-OHIO REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION (MORPC) MPO FUNDING FOR TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FOR THE STYGLER ROAD, AGLER ROAD, US-62 IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
BODY
WHEREAS, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) administers the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Funding for Transportation Program, which provides federal funding assistance for eligible transportation projects, including roads, bridges, public transit, bikeways, sidewalks, and other transportation-related improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna desires to apply for funding through the MORPC MPO Funding for Transportation Program to support construction of the Stygler Road, Agler Road, US-62 Improvements Project (TR-24-02); and
WHEREAS, the application process requires authorizing legislation adopted by the governing body of the applicant, authorizing submission of the funding request and designating an authorized representative to act on behalf of the City in connection with the application; and
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends that Council adopt this Resolution to authorize submission of the grant application for the Stygler Road, Agler Road, US-62 Improvements Project (TR-24-02).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO, THAT:
Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to prepare and submit an application to the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) for funding through the MPO Funding for Transportation Program for the Stygler Road, Agler Road, US-62 Improvements Project (TR-24-02), on behalf of the City of Gahanna.
Section 2. The Mayor is further authorized to furnish all information and documentation required by MORPC, to execute any and all agreements, certifications, and other documents necessary to effectuate the grant application and acceptance of funding, if awarded, and to take such other actions as may be ...
