TO HONOR AND COMMEND THOMAS R. KROUSE, OF DONATOS PIZZA INC. FOR HIS EXEMPLARY COMMITMENT TO DONATOS' MISSION: TO DEFINE WHAT PIZZA SHOULD BE; AND FOR PROVIDING OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTIONS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA AND THE CENTRAL OHIO REGION AND BEYOND.

WHEREAS, in 2000, THOMAS R. KROUSE joined Donatos Pizza Inc., and in 10 years, was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer to oversee the company's 157 store restaurant business, as well as Jane's Dough Foods, the Bakery Division of Donatos.; and
WHEREAS, THOMAS R. KROUSE played a defining role in opening a broader market for Donatos Pizza and showcasing the value of Donatos food quality; and
WHEREAS, THOMAS R. KROUSE was named Executive of the Year by Columbus Business First in October 2014; and
WHEREAS, THOMAS R. KROUSE was a past Chairman of the Board of Junior Achievement of Central Ohio and is currently an active Board member; he is also a Board member of the Southside Learning & Development Center and a member of the American Heart Association Go Red Men; and
WHEREAS, he is also a founding member and front man for Grassinine, a mountain rock band; and also serves on the Board of the Columbus Songwriters Association; and
WHEREAS, a native of Columbus, THOMAS is a graduate of the Ohio State University; he has three sons and resides in Columbus, Ohio.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, AND STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That THOMAS R. KROUSE is hereby honored and commended for the great contribution he has made to the Gahanna community.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
