TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH CHEMCOTE, INC., FOR THE 2013 STREET PROGRAM; IMPROVEMENT NO. ST 1004; AND TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $57,645.

WHEREAS, bids were opened for the 2013 Street Program on March 22, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has recommended we proceed with the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder, Chemcote, Inc. using their alternate bid;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into contract with CHEMCOTE, INC., 7599 Fishel Drive North, Dublin, Ohio 43016, for the 2013 Street Program, Improvement No. ST 1004; bid tabs attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FIFTY SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED FORTY FIVE DOLLARS ($57,645) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Applied County Permissive Tax Fund to Account No. 231.330.5596, County Permissive, Street, Capital Projects/Improvements, to cover a portion of the herein costs.
Section 3. That funding in the amount of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000) is available in Account No. 220.330.5513, Streets, Capital/Streets, to cover a portion of the herein costs.
Section 4. That funding in the amount of EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY FOUR THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY FOUR DOLLARS ($864,834) is available in Account No. 325.122.5513, Capital Improvements, Capital Streets, to cover the balance of the herein costs.
Section 5. That ORD-0001-2013, passed January 2, 2013, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
