WHEREAS, REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB, was elected as Council Member from Ward 3 in November of 1991, and was reelected in 1993, 1995, 1997, and 1999; and

 

WHEREAS, REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB, kept open communication lines with the Ward 3 residents and served her constituents well on many issues over the years; and

 

WHEREAS, REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB, in her 10 year tenure with the City of Gahanna served as Vice President of Council in 1994 and 2000 and as President in 2001; and

 

WHEREAS, REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB, in 1995 served on a Special Committee on Organizational Review and in 1992 was on the Special Negotiating Committee to study the Time Warner Franchise Agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB, served as Chairman of Finance Committee in 1993, Communications & Technology Committee in 1995, Safety Committee in 1996 and 1997, Service Committee in 1998, 1999 and 2000, Committee of the Whole in 2000, and has served on all committees of Council over the years;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB is recognized and commended by this Council for lending of her time and talent in helping the City, and for exhibiting the qualities of a true statesman in her expertise for planning for the future and gaining a vision and goal for the community.

 

Section 2.  That REBECCA W. STINCHCOMB is honored for her service to the City for 10 years and commended for stepping forward and committing to taking on a new role in helping to make Gahanna a better place in which to live.

 

Section 3.  That this resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
