TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH HAMBURG FIREWORKS DISPLAY INC., FOR FIREWORKS FOR THE CITY OF GAHANNA 2002 FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS DISPLAY.

WHEREAS, now is the appropriate time to secure fireworks for our 2002 Fourth of July celebration; and
WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Hamburg Fireworks Display Inc., the company that was been used for the last three years and presented superior shows, and the Director of Parks & Recreation has recommended this company;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Hamburg Fireworks Display Inc., 4300 Logan-Lancaster Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, for fireworks for the 2002 Fourth of July Celebration in accordance with proposal, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000) was set aside in the 2002 Appropriations to Account No. 101.432.5415, Fourth of July, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature approval by the Mayor.
