TO ENACT CHAPTER 947, BUILDING CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITIES, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has proposed a new code section that would hold contractors responsible for debris, including rocks, gravel, silt, and building materials, that run into the City of Gahanna sewer system, and Council concurs; 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1.  That Chapter 947, Building Contractor's Responsibilities, is hereby enacted as set forth in EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.

Section 2.  That Title Nine, Streets and Public Services Code, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna is hereby amended to reflect this new Chapter.

Section 3.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
