TO ACCEPT WARRANTY DEEDS FROM EIGHT PROPERTY OWNERS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ALONG JOHNSTOWN ROAD (U.S. ROUTE NO. 62), FOR RIGHT OF WAY PURPOSES; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, certain Warranty Deeds were granted to the City of Gahanna for the purpose of right of way for U.S. Route No. 62; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for this Council to accept this land at the earliest possible date in order to proceed with those steps necessary to provide for this right of way, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby accepts Warranty Deeds for the U. S. Route No. 62 right of way, from the following property owners along Johnstown Road (U.S. Route 62):
EXHIBIT A: Warranty Deed from Helen Koker, consisting of 0.032 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT B: Warranty Deed from Thomas W. McDowell and William S. McDowell, consisting of 0.078 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT C: Warranty Deed from Mary L. Johnson and Charles R. Conroy, consisting of 0.026 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT D: Warranty Deed from Charles R. Conroy, consisting of 0.007 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT E: Warranty Deed from Helen M. Keirns, consisting of 0.021 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT F: Warranty Deed from Virginia C. Clarke, consisting of 0.122 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT G: Warranty Deed from Edward L. Wilke, Jr., and Jinx A. Wilke, consisting of 0.080 acre, more or less.
EXHIBIT H: Warranty Deed from Martha E. Ackermann aka Martha E. Ackerman, consisting of 0.141 acre, more or less
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
