WHEREAS, Franklin County has bid the Triangle East improvement with the roundabout project so that it can be installed before the new roadway is built; and

 

WHEREAS, this was scheduled in the capital projects list of future sanitary sewer projects; and

 

WHEREAS, the project needs to be funded now to reimburse the County amending our cooperative agreement; and

 

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this so that it does not slow down the Morse/62 intersection improvement, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Reimbursement Agreement with the Franklin County Engineers Office, 970 Dublin Road, Suite 200, Columbus, Ohio 43215, for sanitary sewer costs for the Morse/62 intersection improvement and roundabout; Triangle East Improvement No. 871.

 

Section 2.  That funding in the amount of TWO HUNDRED SEVENTY EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($278,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the Sanitary Sewer Fund to Account No. 661.360.5533, Sewer Capital Projects, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That ORD-0001-2006, passed January 2, 2006, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
