TO ACCEPT 12.4+/- ACRES FROM JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP TO THE CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO, KNOWN AS 4433 JOHNSTOWN ROAD,REQUESTED BY CITY OF GAHANNA.

Body

 

WHEREAS, an application for annexation of 12.4+\- acres from Jefferson Township to the City of Gahanna, Ohio, has been duly filed and was granted by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, on January 20, 2000; and

 

WHEREAS, the City Attorney has directed that the Clerk of Council place this acceptance before Council at the earliest possible in order to expedite appropriate maintenance of the property;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the application of CITY OF GAHANNA, requesting the annexation to the City of Gahanna of 12.4+/- acres, more particularly described in EXHIBIT A, hereto, which territory is contiguous to the City of Gahanna, as approved by the Board of County Commissioners of Franklin County, Ohio, on January 20, 2000, IS HEREBY ACCEPTED.

                                                                                                                                             

Section 2.  That an accurate map of the territory, together with the petition for its annexation and other papers in relation thereto and a certified transcript of the proceedings of the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners in relation thereto are on file with the Clerk of Council of the City of Gahanna and ARE HEREBY ACCEPTED.

 

Section 3. That a zoning application has been filed with the Zoning Office for this newly-annexed parcel.

 

Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
