TO AUTHORIZE THE ACTING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH SOUTHEASTERN EQUIPMENT COMPANY INC. FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE AIR COMPRESSOR

WHEREAS, bids were received on April 10, 1998, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible and responsive bidder has been recommended by the Acting Director of Public Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Acting Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with SOUTHEASTERN EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. 6390 SHIER-RINGS ROAD, DUBLIN, OHIO 43016, for the purchase of one air compressor in accordance with bid submitted April 10, 1998, and in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Nine Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-seven Dollars ($9,557) was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations in Account Nos. 351.350.5512 Capital Projects/Equipment Water ($5,000), and 661.360.5512 Capital Equipment Sewer ($4,447); total amount includes a trade-in of $5,000.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
