TO COMMEND THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS RESERVE ON THE 51ST ANNIVERSARY OF TOYS FOR TOTS

WHEREAS, the United States Marine Corps was founded on November 10, 1775 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, the United States Marine Corps Reserve, 3/25 Company L, was instrumental in bringing Toys for Tots to Central Ohio; and
WHEREAS, the Toys for Tots Kickoff is being held in Gahanna on October 19, 1998;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the United States Marine Corps Reserve is commended for their dedicated service and support of Toys for Tots, an annual event which helps to make a child's Christmas what it should be.
Section 2. That the United States Marine Corps Reserve is extended the best wishes of this Council, the Administration and the citizens of Gahanna for all their hard work and effort on this project.
Section 3. That this resolution shall go into full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council.
