WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to reestablish that the elected position of City Attorney of the City of Gahanna shall remain a part-time position, with commensurate compensation therefor; and
 
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and necessary that this position be firmly established and compensation set in a timely manner in order to file such information with the Board of Elections of Franklin County as required by law;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That this Council hereby determines that effective JANUARY 1, 2012, the position of City Attorney of the City of Gahanna shall be a part-time position and compensation is hereby authorized and directed in the amount and on the effective date declared and set forth in Section 143.03, Part Time Position, of Chapter 143, Department of Law, attached hereto as EXHIBIT A.
 
Section 2.  That Section 143.03, Part-time Position, of Chapter 143, Department of Law, is hereby amended as stated in Exhibit A.
 
Section 3. That existing Section 143.03, Part-time Position, of Chapter 143, Department of Law, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
 
Section 4.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
