TO ACCEPT 1.516 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OF LAND FROM CANINI & PELLECCHIA, INC., FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON HAMILTON ROAD, WEST OF JOHNSTOWN ROAD AND SOUTH OF MORSE ROAD, AND MORE PARTICULARLY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF BEECHER ROAD AND HAMILTON ROAD; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, a new street has been constructed which connects Johnstown Road to Hamilton Road; and
WHEREAS, the developer has granted to the City certain right of way at the intersection of Hamilton Road and Beecher Road; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for this Council to accept this land at the earliest possible date in order to proceed with those steps necessary to design and obtain signalization for orderly traffic control, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council hereby accepts 1.516 acres, more or less, of land purchased from Canini and Pellecchia, Inc., said land more particularly described in Warranty Deed, attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and approval by the Mayor.
