TO AMEND CONTRACT WITH NOVINITY, INC., MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS; TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR SERVICES BEING RENDERED UNDER CONTRACT AUTHORIZED BY ORD-0041-2003; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, proposal has been received from Novinity, Inc., Marketing Communications for an amendment to an existing contract; and
WHEREAS, this amendment to the contract approved by ORD-0041-2003 has been recommended to the Administration; and
WHEREAS, funding for this amendment is available in an existing Development account; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire and goal of this Council and Administration to continue the publication of the promotional marketing annual report of the City of Gahanna to the fullest potential, all for the sound fiscal management of the area and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into amended Agreement with NOVINITY, INC. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS, 523 PARK STREET, COLUMBUS, OH 43215, for continuing services as outlined in amendment to contract and attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) is available in Account 101.343.5254, Development, Promotions, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
