TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT WITH BRICKER & ECKLER FOR CONSULTING SERVICES RELATED TO THE CITY'S 2005 BOND ISSUE

WHEREAS, Bricker & Eckler currently serve as bond counsel for the City and have submitted a proposal for consulting services related to the City's 2005 Bond Issue and the required IRS filings; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has recommended that we proceed with this contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into agreement with Bricker & Eckler, 100 South Third Street, Columbus, OH 43215, for consulting legal services in relation to the City's 2005 Bond Issue and the required IRS filings, said agreement attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding is available through the 2010 Appropriations in Account Number 101.181.5232, City Attorney, Special Counsel, to pay for these services.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
