WHEREAS, Safety Town was established almost 20 years ago to teach children going into kindergarten about safety issues that a child going to school will encounter; and
WHEREAS, Safety Town 2002 was a great success with almost 250 children participating; and
WHEREAS, without the leaders it would not be possible to run Safety Town and cover the areas so important to these children;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That this Council and the Administration hereby honor and commend CARL SCHMUECKLE for giving of himself, his time and his talents to help make Safety Town 2002 a huge success.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council.
