TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO ONE-YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH GAHANNA RESIDENTS IN NEED (GRIN), FOR THE HAMILTON HOUSE PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 87 SOUTH HAMILTON ROAD.

WHEREAS, the City of Gahanna acquired property at 87 South Hamilton Road through the Franklin County Commissioners for a senior living facility; and
WHEREAS, the property had received a conditional use and variance for Gahanna Jefferson Local School District and was in use for educational facilities; and
WHEREAS, since the City has fulfilled its commitments to the Gahanna Jefferson Local School District for this property, it is now desirable to make it available to Gahanna Residents in Need (GRIN) for their operations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into one-year Lease Agreement with an automatic renewable option for property known as Hamilton House, located at 87 South Hamilton Road, with Gahanna Residents in Need (GRIN) for the amount of One Dollar ($1), said Lease Agreement attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
