WHEREAS letter quotes for portable sanitation needs have been received from three companies and the Director of Parks & Recreation is recommending the lowest, most responsible and responsive quote to Council to proceed with rental of portable sanitation units; and
WHEREAS, these restrooms need to be delivered to parks in early March;
WHEREAS, completion of this project in a timely fashion for City parks is critical, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into purchase agreement with Rent A John Portable Sanitation, A Division of BJ Equipment, LTD., P.O. Box 753, Columbus, Ohio, 43216 for fourteen (14) Rent A John portable restrooms to be placed in various City parks, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of SEVENTY-FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,500) was appropriated in the 2003 Appropriations to Account No. 101.431.5309, Park Maintenance Supplies to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereinabove this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
