TITLE
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS - General Fund, Police Fund, and Parks & Recreation Fund for Anticipated Year-End Expenditures
BODY
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance has completed a review of current appropriations and anticipated expenditures through the end of fiscal year 2026; and
WHEREAS, the review identified accounts within the General Fund, Police Fund, and Parks & Recreation Fund requiring additional appropriations to meet anticipated expenditures through year-end; and
WHEREAS, the Administration recommends supplemental appropriations totaling $268,000 from the unencumbered, unappropriated balances of the respective funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, COUNTY OF FRANKLIN, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That supplemental appropriations in the total amount of $26,000 are hereby authorized from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund (1010) to the following accounts:
101.11.420.5105 - General Fund Fleet Full-Time Wages - $20,000
101.11.420.5135 - General Fund Fleet Insurance - $6,000
Section 2. That a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $106,000 is hereby authorized from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Police Fund (2400) to the following account:
240.10.110.5105 - Police Fund Full-Time Wages - $106,000
Section 3. That supplemental appropriations in the total amount of $136,000 are hereby authorized from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Parks & Recreation Fund (2420) to the following accounts:
242.08.370.5110 - Parks & Recreation Fund Swim Club Part-Time Wages - $58,000
242.08.380.5110 - Parks & Recreation Fund Hunters Ridge Part-Time Wages - $41,000
242.08.400.5110 - Parks & Recreation Fund Recreation Programs Part-Time Wages - $37,000
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force at the earliest period allowed by law.
