TO AMEND CHAPTER 155, EMPLOYEES GENERALLY, TO AMEND SECTION 155.01, VEHICLE ALLOWANCE, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, a change in the amount of the annual vehicle allowance has been recommended by Council from the current $185 per month per vehicle to three hundred dollars ($300) per month per vehicle;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 155, Employees Generally, is hereby amended to reflect change to Section 155.01, Vehicle Allowance, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna, as follows:
155.01 VEHICLE ALLOWANCE.
(a) A Vehicle allowance may be authorized by the Mayor to defer expenses as may be necessary to perform the functions of the office of the Director of Public Service, the City Engineer, the Director of Development, and the Director of Parks and Recreation.
(b) The annual vehicle allowance is hereby established as THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300) per month per vehicle, such allowance to be paid monthly from Departmental Vehicle Reimbursement Funding as provided by Council in the annual appropriations.
Section 2. That existing Section 155.01, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
