SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION - Various Operating Equipment Accounts/Parks & Recreation

WHEREAS, in the past, appropriations included a minor capital line for small dollar amount purchases such as small tools, power tools, pool painting, pumps, chain saws, weed eaters, drills, etc.; and
WHEREAS, it was decided to classify these items as operational equipment since their dollar value is below the City's $5,000 capital threshold and they are used for operational maintenance purposes, and in 2013 and beyond expenses will be in the operating budgets of each department; and
WHEREAS, for 2012 the funds are still included in the capital figures and were not funded in the appropriation process and need to be supplementally appropriated for use by the various Parks & Recreation divisions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That funding in the amount of SEVENTY THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($73,500) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General Fund to the following accounts:
101.431.5320 Parks $12,500
101.432.5320 Recreation 5,000
101.433.5320 Golf Course 5,000
101.434.5320 Senior Services 3,000
101.437.5320 Parks Facilities 15,000
101.438.5320 HRP 15,000
101.439.5320 OHEC 3,000
101.440.5320 GSP 15,000
Section 2. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
