TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO PURCHASE AGREEMENT WITH KEY CHRYSLER, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A DODGE RAM FOUR WHEEL DRIVE POLICE SPECIALTY VEHICLE OFF THE HAMILTON COUNTY COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT.

WHEREAS, the Police Department needs a four wheel drive vehicle for use in inclement weather and also a vehicle large enough to carry equipment to various functions; and
WHEREAS, quote was received from Key Chrysler for the Dodge Ram vehicle and the Chief of Police has recommended we proceed with them for the purchase; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 135.05(e)(5) of the Codified Ordinances the City can purchase the Dodge Ram four wheel drive vehicle from the Hamilton County Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, Number ITB059-11, and 085-11;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Purchase Agreement with KEY CHRYSLER, 2020 North Detroit Street, Xenia, OH 45385, for the purchase of a Dodge Ram four wheel drive police specialty vehicle from the Hamilton County Cooperative Purchasing Agreement, Number ITB059-11 and 085-11; quote attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($28,000) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the Law Enforcement Trust Fund to Account No. 225.211.5512, LETF - Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2012, passed January 2, 2012, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
