TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH ARCON INTEGRATED, INC., FOR REMODEL OF A PORTION OF THE SECOND FLOOR; GAHANNA CITY HALL; TO SUPPLEMENTALLY APPROPRIATE $14,714; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, the second floor northwest corner of Gahanna City Hall needs remodeling to make space for the GIS Manager and the Human Resources Director; and
WHEREAS, letterhead quote was received and the Director of Public Service has recommended that we proceed; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has also asked for 10% of the total appropriation for contingencies on this project; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative that this remodeling be done at the earliest possible date, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with ARCON INTEGRATED, INC., 780 King Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212, for remodel of the northwest corner of the second floor of City Hall, in accordance with City specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of FOURTEEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FOURTEEN DOLLARS ($14,714) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance of the General fund to Account No. 101.141.5511, Lands & Buildings Capital, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That ORD-0001-2002, passed January 2, 2002, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.
Section 4. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
