WHEREAS, the Service Department is in need of a Caterpillar Loader as it is the most used piece of equipment in the department and is 10 years old; and

WHEREAS, a caterpillar loader can be purchased off the State Contract, and funds were appropriated in the 2010 appropriations; and

WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this purchase as it is the most used piece of equipment in the department, and all for the preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Ohio CAT, 5252 Walcutt Court, Columbus, Ohio 43228, for a Caterpillar Loader off the State Contract, #778515H.

Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND FIFTY ONE DOLLARS ($20,051) was set aside in the 2010 Appropriations to Account No. 661.360.5512, Sewer Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.

Section 3. That funding in the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND FIFTY DOLLARS ($20,050) was set aside in the 2010 Appropriations to Account No. 651.350.5512, Water Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.

Section 4. That funding in the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND FIFTY DOLLARS ($20,050) was set aside in the 2010 Appropriations to Account No. 631.350.5512, Storm Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.

Section 5. That funding in the amount of TWENTY THOUSAND FIFTY DOLLARS ($20,050) was set aside in the 2010 Appropriations to Account No. 220.330.5512, Street Capital Equipment, to cover the herein costs.

Section 6. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage...
