TITLE

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE FRANKLIN COUNTY TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT FOR THE RECEIPT AND ADMINISTRATION OF GRANT FUNDING FOR THE STYGLER/AGLER/US-62 IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

BODY

 

WHEREAS, in June 2026, the City of Gahanna and the Franklin County Transportation Improvement District were awarded $200,000 through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Improvement District Supplemental Funding Program to support preliminary engineering for the Stygler/Agler/US-62 Improvements Project, TR-24-02; and

 

WHEREAS, in order for the Franklin County Transportation Improvement District to enter into a grant agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the awarded funds, the Franklin County Transportation Improvement District must first enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Gahanna; and

 

WHEREAS, the Administration recommends that the City enter into the intergovernmental agreement with the Franklin County Transportation Improvement District to facilitate receipt and administration of the awarded grant funds.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Franklin County Transportation Improvement District, in substantially the same form as attached hereto as EXHIBIT A and incorporated herein, for the receipt and administration of $200,000 in grant funding awarded through the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Transportation Improvement District Supplemental Funding Program for preliminary engineering of the Stygler/Agler/US-62 Improvements Project, TR-24-02, and to execute any other documents or agreements necessary in accordance with the terms of the Intergovernmental Agreement.

 

Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
