WHEREAS, letter proposal for boundary survey and legal description, dated June 12, 2000, has been received and has been recommended by the City Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary to effect this contract at the earliest possible date, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:

 

Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Contract with Terra Surveying Services Co., 238 Academy Woods Drive, Gahanna, Ohio  43230, for professional survey services for a boundary survey and legal description for the 5.7+/- acres along Big Walnut Creek, south of the golf course, in accordance with proposal attached hereto as EXHIBIT A, and all in accordance with City Specifications.

 

Section 2.  That the amount of Three Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Five Dollars ($3,875) is hereby supplementally appropriated from the unencumbered, unappropriated balance in the General Fund to Account No. 101.145.5533, Capital Projects Engineering, to cover the herein costs.

 

Section 3.  That Ordinance No. 20001, passed January 3, 2000, is hereby amended to reflect this supplemental appropriation.

 

Section 4.  That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
