TO AUTHORIZE THE ACTING DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO AWARD AND THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH BYERS CHEVROLET FOR THE PURCHASE OF A ONE TON DUMP TRUCK

WHEREAS, bids were received on April 10, 1998, pursuant to Council authorization, and the best, responsible and responsive bidder has been recommended by the Acting Director of Public Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Acting Director of Public Service is authorized to award and the Mayor is authorized to enter into Contract with BYERS CHEVROLET, 555 WEST BROAD STREET, COLUMBUS, OHIO 43215, for the purchase of a one ton dump truck in accordance with bid submitted April 10, 1998, and in accordance with City Specifications.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of Twenty-Six Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-four Dollars was set aside in the 1998 Appropriations to Account No. 101.431.5515, Capital Projects/Equipment Parks & Recreation, and the total amount does include a trade-in amount of $7,500.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect at the earliest period allowed by law.
