TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENT FOR THE SALE OF LAND KNOWN AS 4464 NORTH HAMILTON ROAD TO MERCADO REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY

WHEREAS, the Administration has submitted a proposal to this Council for the purchase of a portion of the City-owned property known as 4464 North Hamilton Road; and
WHEREAS, the purchasers of the property, Mercado Real Estate Investments Inc., have made a proposal that the improvements to be made by them are equal to or greater than the value of the property and no additional money is required for the transfer of the property; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to proceed to accept this offer as quickly as possible all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into Agreement to sell property owned by the City of Gahanna known as 4464 North Hamilton Road, said Agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A.
Section 2. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation and shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and on date of signature approval by the Mayor.
