TO AMEND CHAPTER 149, CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA TO UPDATE EXISTING CODE AND TO ADD ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS.

WHEREAS, the Clerk of Council was requested to review Chapter 149 in order to bring the Civil Service Commission code up to date; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of Council prepared an amendment to Chapter 149 to address attendance requirements for the Civil Service Commission as well as updating the chapter; and
WHEREAS, these changes bring the Civil Service Commission into uniformity with all other boards and commissions;
WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has reviewed Chapter 149 and recommended said changes to City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 149, Civil Service, is hereby amended as shown in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
Section 2. That any ordinance or ordinances in conflict hereto are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after signature of approval by the Mayor.
