TO AMEND CHAPTER 157, RECORDS MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA

WHEREAS, the code is restrictive on when the Records Commission can hold its organizational or annual meeting each year and it was difficult to schedule this year's meeting at a time when everyone could attend due to that restriction; and
WHEREAS, the Records Commission has reviewed Chapter 157 since it has been many years since the entire chapter was reviewed and updated; and
WHEREAS, the Records Commission has made their recommendation and it is prudent to move forward with these recommendations to get them in place before the beginning of the year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That Chapter 157, Records Management Program, of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Gahanna is hereby amended in accordance with EXHIBIT A, attached hereto and made a part herein.
Section 2. That existing Chapter 157, Records Management Program, or any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herein, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect after passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
