TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH HOCKADEN & ASSOCIATES FOR INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE JAMES ROAD BRIDGE, IMPROVEMENT #819; AND TO DECLARE AN EMERGENCY.

WHEREAS, Hockaden & Associates has submitted a proposal for Inspection Services for the James Road Bridge, Improvement #819, and the City Engineer has recommended that we proceed with said proposal; and
WHEREAS, it is imperative to move forward with this at the earliest date possible, all for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contract with Hockaden and Associates, Inc. 883 N. Cassady Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43219, for inspection services for the James Road Bridge, Improvement #819, proposal attached as EXHIBIT A, and made a part hereof.
Section 2. That funding in the amount of TWENTY ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($21,500.00) has been set aside to Account No. 101.145.5541, Capital Projects, Streets, to cover the herein costs.
Section 3. That, for the reasons set forth in the preamble herein above, this ordinance is declared emergency legislation, and shall be in full force and effect immediately after passage by this Council and upon the date of signature approval by the Mayor.
