WHEREAS, Legal Counsel for the City, City Administrative Designees including the Director of Human Resources, and the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association Dispatcher Unit have negotiated the pay and benefit package for the Dispatcher Unit of the Gahanna Police Department, and have made recommendation to this Council; and
 
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has recommended we proceed to authorize the Mayor to enter into this contract with the Ohio Patrolmen's Benevolent Association;
 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GAHANNA, STATE OF OHIO:
 
Section 1.  That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into negotiated Labor Agreement, "AGREEMENT BETWEEN OHIO PATROLMEN'S BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION DISPATCHER UNIT AND CITY OF GAHANNA, OHIO, JANUARY 1, 2013 - DECEMBER 31, 2015, said Agreement attached to this ordinance as EXHIBIT A, and made a part herein.
 
Section 2.  That the pay and benefits of this Agreement are effective retroactive to January 1, 2013.
 
Section 3.  That ORD-0060-2011, passed March 21, 2011, and any ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed.
 
Section 4.  That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon passage by this Council and 30 days after date of signature approval by the Mayor.
